The purpose of this document is to explain who to contact to setup SMS and Faxing for use of the Communications and SMS features in Autosoft
Users of Autosoft must contact the companies below and setup an account in their own business name Autosoft is unable to create the accounts on your behalf.
To Setup SMS Communications
1. Contact SMS Global - The SMS service used by Autosoft is SMS Global.
They can be contacted on: 1300 883 400 (+61 3 9095 6245) or for more information visit their website http://www.smsglobal.com/en-au/.
2. Set up SMS Global for Autosoft
- Log into the SMS Global portal by using your email and password that you provided them.
- Go to Tools - API Keys
- Click on New API Key
- Type in "Autosoft"
- Click OK
3. Linking the Setup in Autosoft:
Once you have an account,
- Log in to Autosoft as a 'SETUP-PRO' or other login with full security access.
- Go to Utilities > System Setup > System File and select Messaging tab.
NOTE:If you have logged in as a full security user and still do not have access to this area, please contact us.
- Enter your SMS User Name, SMS Password, an SMS Reply Number and tick “Use new SMS carrier” (Please note: Use New Carrier was removed in update 5.98.14.0625).
Please note: The Username and Password are the API Key details from the SMS Global website. To get these, log into SMSGlobal's customer portal with the details provided, go to "API Key and get the username and password in here, and put them in the box in the screen above
To Setup Fax Communications
1. Contact Oze Fax - The Faxing service used by Autosoft is OzeFax. 28/1/2015: Please note: Oze Fax were bought out by EFax. Efax are the new providers.
They can be contacted on: 1300 729 660 or their web site www.ozefax.com.au .
You need to get the broadcast fax service which costs around $8.00 per month (plus call charges for the faxes you send).
2. To Link Setup in Autosoft
Once you have an account,
- Log in to Autosoft as a 'SETUP-PRO' or other login with full security access.
- Go to Utilities > System Setup > System File and select Messaging tab.
NOTE:If you have logged in as a full security user and still do not have access to this area, please contact us.
- Tick the check box "I have a fax account setup" and enter your area code
Eg. area code for 02 type in 612, if in a different area code enter your appropriate code. Eg: 613, 618.
If you have a fax domain, it needs to end in "@efaxsend.com".
To Setup Email Functions
To use email functions, all you have is Microsoft Outlook setup as the 'Default Main Server' setup on your PC.
To test if you already have this setup, click on a Email address link from any webpage and Outlook will open if it has been setup.
Autosoft does not support Microsoft Outlook so will not configure the link to your Email for you but this can be done by yourself or your IT Consultant.
